HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – It was an anxious couple of hours or so for a mother of two toddlers that went missing from a home on Holland’s North Side around midday on Thursday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett, the mother of four-year-old Lilly Ann Osborne and her three-year-old brother Rowan Alan Osborne called 911 around 11:30 AM on Thursday and reported their disappearance from their residence in the 600 block of East Lakewood Boulevard, between US-31 and 120th Avenue. The girl was wearing a teal-colored shirt with an owl print, while her brother had on an army-green shirt with dinosaur print pullups.
A little more than two hours later, a search of a vacant car parked in a lot just east of the home located the two children. It appeared that they were able to get into the vehicle and found themselves locked in, unable to get out. Deputies were able to break into the vehicle and rescue the toddlers.
After a medical check found the children had not sustained any substantial harm, they were returned to their mother. Bennett said that, at this point, there doesn’t appear to be any suspicious nature to this case.
