CHESTER TWP, MI (WHTC) – A 24-year-old Bailey man is dead and three others are hurt after a crash in Chester Township.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Kristie Wendt, Rodolfo Castillo, 36 of Bailey was northbound on 32nd Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Sehler Street about 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 17. Castillo’s pick up truck hit a Volvo driven by Samantha Triblett, 28 of Grand Rapids.
Both Triblett’s and Castillo’s vehicles went off the side of the roadway and Castillo’s truck rolled several times and his front seat passenger 24-year Hector Aguilar was pronounced dead at the scene.
Castillo and his backseat passenger 19-year-old Romon Aguilar were transported to Spectrum Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Triblett was transported to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids for minor injuries while her passenger a 19-year-old Conklin man was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
