HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A volunteer effort headed up by Holland Rescue Mission’s Executive Director Darryl Bartlett presents the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast in Holland.
Members of the community came together and approached Mayor Nancy DeBoer about having the breakfast to pray for city leadership. Bartlett says the breakfast is not being done by a particular denomination or group of special interests. “We will have different community leaders that have agreed to pray for different segments of the community. For example, Dr. Tim Brown from Western Seminary will pray a general prayer for four pillars of the city: Posterity, Safety, Security and Morality.”
The keynote speaker is Mark Vroegop who served for 11 years as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Holland. Vroepop is now the lead Pastor of College Park Church in Indianapolis.
Former Holland Police Chief John Kruithof will be speaking and praying for safety personal.
The breakfast is September 22 from 7-9:00 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton located at 650 East 24th Street in Holland. Tickets are $25.00 and may be purchased online.
