ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – A program in Allegan County is the first of it’s kind and it is designed to prepare women for their return back into society after being incarcerated.
Allegan Counties Women’s Re-Entry program began on August 5, 2016 with 7 participants. The program consists of many classes covering better parenting skills, cognitive thinking and classes provided by Forgotten Man Ministries.
The women who are part of the program are housed together in one housing pod receive counseling services along with classes for the majority of each day. A graduation ceremony will take place Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Allegan County Corrections Center.
