HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -CSX Railroad has completed work ahead of schedule on the 16th street crossing and now will have another project starting Tuesday, September 13.
The City of Holland says East 24th Street will be totally closed to traffic between US-31 and Hastings Avenue. CSX will be removing and replacing the Hamilton Spur Crossing in this area. Work is expected to be completed in one week with a tentative date of September 20, 2016.
The road closure will affect east/west traffic on 24th Street. Motorists will be required to follow the posted detour of Hastings Avenue to 32nd Street and Apple Avenue.
