HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Singer Petula Clark said it best in the song “Downtown.”
“When you’re alone and life is making you lonely you can always go Downtown”, and in downtown Holland there is always something going on.
This weekend it’s the biggest sale of the year. Downtown streets will be filled with shoppers when Downtown Holland Sidewalk Sales takes over.
Over 100 merchants will take part in the sale as thousands get those great deals while shopping outdoors.
Executive Director of the Holland Visitor’s Bureau Sally Laukitis says ” It’s a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to come out, something fun and vibrant going on. That’s one of the things we pride ourselves on with Destination Downtown and the community in general. People know they can come to downtown Holland and have areally good time. There is always something going on.” The show Downtown Destination airs Thursday’s at 9;15 a.m. on WHTC.
The sidewalk sale in downtown Holland runs Friday, August 12 from 9-9 p.m. and Saturday, August 13 from 9-5 p.m.
