HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An Ohio man collided into a freightliner semi-truck on U.S. 31 and James Street in the overnight hours Tuesday.
According to Sgt. Matt Wilfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Arcara, 67, was driving a 2011 GMC Savana west on James Street and had stopped at the flashing red light. He then pulled into the path of a 2000 freightliner semi-truck that was southbound on U.S. 31.
D-zez Dat Adanalic, 55 of Clinton Township who was driving the semi was not injured.
Arcara was not injured and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The crash was located in the construction zone and U. S. 31 was closed for 30 minutes until the crash was cleared.
