KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) – A 49-year-old man who lived in the Holland area for just a year but was accused of stealing numerous letters and packages from residences on Holland’s North Side will spend the next three-plus years in a federal prison.
Tracy Rudisel was sentenced by US District Court Judge Paul Maloney in Kalamazoo after he had pleaded guilty to identity theft and possession of stolen mail charges. Prosecutors claimed that Rudisel gave his employer false Social Security information when he was hired on, and when he was arrested last September, he had five Social Security cards, four Michigan driver’s licenses and two birth certificates, all of which were false. Letters, packages and other mail taken from mailboxes were also recovered.
Rudisel is also wanted in Colorado for parole violation and will be returned there when his federal sentence is served.
