HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office has identified a group of teenagers as the responsible parties for two church break-ins over the weekend.
Captain Mark Bennett says they developed information over the last 24 hours from the public. A 16-year-old boy, a 15-year old girl both from Georgetown Township and a 13-year old have been identified as suspects in the break-ins. Bennett said the front door was pried open of Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church about 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 17.
Bennett said the three are also believed to have been involved in a break-in at Jamestown Christian Reformed Church, at 1653 Riley St., the same morning.
All three have been turned over to their parents. Any charges would come from the prosecutor’s office.
