HOLLAND (WHTC) — Zeeland resident Edwind Isreal Serrato, 27, has been charged with attempted murder and felony firearms after this weekend’s Holland Township shooting, according to Capt. Mark Bennett.
Serrato remains in Ottawa County Jail pending further court action; his bond was set at $250,000 cash.
A 21-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound early Sunday morning, according to police. Bennett said witnesses at the scene were uncooperative but police did get help from citizens.
Bennett said the shooting appears to be gang-related, but did not mention which gangs were involved.
The suspect’s name is being withheld by police until after his arraignment on charges in 58th District Court’s Holland office.
