PARK TOWNSHIP (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Road Commission is making a busy Park Township intersection a four-way stop, starting next Tuesday. Stop signs will be added on Lakewood Boulevard at 160th Avenue in response to a rise in crashes at that intersection. Road Commission traffic engineer Fred Keena says 18 crashes have occurred at Lakewood and 160th since January 2012, with two-thirds of the wrecks being of the right-angle or broadside variety. Seven crashes occurred last year and there have been four more this year. The new four-way stop follows similar action by the Road Commission last year a mile west at Lakewood and 168th Avenue.
