HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Changes are coming to LG Chem in Holland.
There was a time when LG Chem was paying its workers to do community service in Holland because there wasn’t enough work at the plant but now that has changed. Chevy is about to introduce the remodeled Volt, and eventually the all-electric Bolt will appear in showrooms. Since then they have doubled staff to 300.
They have showing off the plant and the new Volt this week to reporters. GM’s Bill Wallace says this is the one and only plant they rely on for the Volt. The Korean owned battery plant has plans to add another 150 workers over the next year or two.
