HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A funeral service is on Thursday afternoon for Moriah Wright, a 19-year-old Holland Township woman killed around 4 PM on Saturday while apparently attempting to cross US-31 at 8th Street against a traffic signal. Sheriff’s deputies say that the light was green for the highway when she stepped into the northbound lanes and into the path of the vehicle of 25-year-old Carmen Ramirez-Dy, also of Holland Township. Wright was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ottawa County Medical Examiner’s Office, while Ramirez-Dy was not hurt. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
