HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – In an effort to locate a man who allegedly fired shots outside of a party at an North Side event center on March 15, Sheriff’s investigators have released an image taken from surveillance video at the Holland Event Center.
Deputies were called to break things up among around 100 people around 1:30 AM. As they approached the facility off of James Street, they heard two rounds fired. A couple of shell casings from a handgun were recovered, and partygoers claimed that a light-skinned brown man had shot into the air, with nobody struck. Later that day, a 35-year-old Holland Township woman called 911, according to Sheriff’s Captain Mark Bennett. She said that a 23 to 25-year-old light-skinned black man, about 5-6, with a medium build, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, was shooting at a vehicle near her. She didn’t believe that she was the target and didn’t realize that her car had been hit until the afternoon, promptly calling police as a result.
The woman was not hit by any bullets. The suspect remains at large, and tips to Silent Observer are welcome.
