HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – One of Holland’s major streets is getting a facelift this spring. Central Avenue, from its northern base off of the BPW water treatment plant on 3rd Street to State Street, is being rebuilt. Besides road reconstruction, sidewalk ramps will be made ADA-compliant, new water mains, sanitary and water sewers will be put into place, and the snowmelt system will be extended beyond 8th Street. Interested residents and business owners that will be affected by the expected closure can learn more about the project during a two-hour open house in Council Chambers at City Hall today, beginning at 4 PM.
