ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – After over four decades at Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital, President Henry Veenstra is stepping down. He announced during the weekly “Wellspring” program on 1450 WHTC this morning that he told the board and staff of his decision to retire, effective on September 30. Veenstra helped guide the Hospital through the move of its campus and the affiliation with Spectrum Health during a 44-year career, 41 of which was as president. A search committee will be formed to choose his successor.
