UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Muskegon County jury took 90 minutes on Wednesday to return a guilty verdict in the Jessica Heering murder trial.
Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson argued that, which authorities may not have had DNA evidence, they found half a dozen empty bottles of bleach in a basement. Defense Attorney Fred Johnson claimed that because the body had never been found, perhaps Heeringa just ran away.
Willis, who is already serving life without parole for the Rebekah Bletsch murder returns tocourt on June 12 for what will likely be an identical sentence.
