PLAINWELL, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Three from the Lakeshore have earned a special honor.
Abraham Mackey of Holland, Ashley Stevens of Coopersville and Donald Walton of Plainwell were among 184 students from across the state who were honored this past Saturday in graduation ceremonies at the Michigan Career and Technical Institute’s campus east of Plainwell. MCTI, operated by Michigan Rehabilitation Services within the state Department of Health and Human Services, provides vocational training in 13 career areas for adults with disabilities.
Mackey studied electronics, Stevens was in culinary arts and Walton was in the certified nursing assistant program during the just-completed winter term. The spring term begins next week, and more information about MCTI is here.
