West Ottawa downed OK Red rival Rockford for the second time this season with a 33-28 victory at Panther Stadium. WO is slated to host the winner of Saturday’s Clarkston at Davidson encounter in a Division 1 regional final next weekend.
Jackson Shriver’s second running touchdown of the game, a one-yard plunge with less than five minutes left, lifted Saugatuck past visiting Vermontville Maple Valley, 14-8. The Indians will travel to Cassopolis, a 31-16 winner over visiting Reading, for a Division 7 regional final next Friday evening.
Zeeland West’s state tournament quest ended in Grand Haven as the Dux were doused by Muskegon in a Division 3 district final, 55-20.
