HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 56-year-old Holland Township man is in custody for the Thursday morning bank robbery of West Michigan Community Bank on Douglas Avenue.
Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says man was found at 4:14 p.m. at Pigeon Creek Park in West Olive. Plain clothes officers and Detectives located the suspect’s vehicle based upon bank photographs around 2:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Douglas Avenue. Further investigation led them to the Ottawa County Park where he was arrested.
A weapon was implied when he walked into the bank AT 11:55 A.M. and demanded money, but the weapon was not seen and no one was injured.
The suspect is lodged in the Ottawa County Jail and his name will be released pending arraignment.
