GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC) – A Kalamazoo man was injured in a crash involving a mail delivery truck in Georgetown Township late Saturday morning, according to an Ottawa County Sheriff’s report.
Samantha Schusertich was out delivering mail on Cottonwood Drive at approximately 11:48 a.m. when two cars approached from behind her. The first car was able to maneuver to the left of mail truck while it was stopped. The second car, driven by 54-year-old Rudy Wright of Kalamazoo, was unable to avoid the mail truck.
Wright’s car struck the mail truck, causing his car to roll over. Wright was pinned his vehicle for a short time before being extricated and transported to Spectrum Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids with minor injuries.
