HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 37-year-old Holland Township woman was hospitalized with non- life-threatening injuries after having to be extricated from her vehicle following a crash in Georgetown Township on Monday, June 29.
Valerie VanAntwerp was traveling on 18th Avenue and was passing through Chicago Drive under a green light shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday when she was struck by a second vehicle, driven by Jeremy DeVries, 33, of Grandville.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, DeVries was traveling west on Chicago Drive and failed to stop at a red light.
VanAntwerp had to be extricated from her vehicle and was transported to Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids.
