HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 46-year-old Holland man was ticketed after an single-vehicle injury crash Thursday, May 28, 2020, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
The crash, which happened at 1:45 p.m., involved a 2003 Cadillac that had been eastbound on Port Sheldon. The Holland man driving later told police he reached for his phone, which had fallen to the floor. As he did, the car ran off the south side of the road. In attempting to correct his car’s path, he ended up running off the road’s north side, going into a ditch.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and went by AMR Ambulance to the hospital, Wildfong said. Police ticketed him for driving on a suspended license.
