HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — A 24-year-old Fennville man suffered a hip injury in a two-vehicle traffic crash on 48th Avenue at Barry Street in Georgetown Township at 6:13 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill indicated police learned the man had been eastbound on Barry Street in a Pontiac sedan when he stopped for the stop sign at 48th Avenue, then continued along 48th, driving into the path of a southbound pickup truck, with a 20-year-old Sparta man at the wheel.
The Fennville man went by LIFE EMS to Zeeland Hospital after being extricated from the car by Georgetown firefighters.
Those in the pick up truck were uninjured, police said.
Police temporarily closed the intersection for the investigation and cleanup.
