HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A three-vehicle crash injured Norton Shores woman, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies.
The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Quincy Street in Holland Township, at 7:27 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.
Police found the 62-year-old woman, at the wheel of a 2020 Chevrolet Trax, had stopped on U.S. 31 for a red light at Quincy, when a 51-year-old Grand Haven man, driving a Ford F-250 south on U.S. 31, did not see the light and slammed into the back of the Trax. The crash sent the Trax into a 2003 Chevrolet Express, with a 64-year-old Norton Shores man at the wheel, who had also stopped for the light.
The woman went by AMR ambulance for treatment of what police called moderate injuries to Holland Hospital. The men were not hurt in the crash, police said.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factors in the crash, police said, and all involved had been wearing seatbelts.
