HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — One person was airlifted to an area hospital just before 9 last night after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 64th Street and 111th Avenue in Casco Township.
Allegan county Sheriff’s Capt. Chris Kuhn indicated a pickup hauling a trailer east on 111th Ave. struck a northbound vehicle on 64th Street.
The pickup driver was unresponsive and after being extricated by South Haven Emergency Services responders used Jaws of Life tools, working for nearly an hour to free the driver, who went by Aero Med to a Grand Rapids hospital. The driver of the other vehicle did not require medical attention.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
