HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — Two people suffered mild injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Zeeland, just before 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, according Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matthew Wildfong.
A 21-year-old Holland woman, driving west on Quincy Street with a 22-year-old Grand Haven man in the passenger seat, didn’t stop at a stop sign at the intersection with 72nd Avenue. Her car struck a truck that had been northbound on 72nd, with a 66-year-old Allandale man at the wheel.
The crash caused both vehicles to roll, stopping on the northwest corner of the intersection.
Both drivers were hurt. The woman was extricated from her vehicle by Zeeland firefighters and went by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Allandale man had a hand injury, but refused transport to the hospital, telling police he’d seek his own medical attention. The passenger in the Holland womans’ care was not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
