OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — A one-car crash in Polkton Township sent a 30-year-old Norton Shores woman to the hospital, Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
Police found her 2006 Cadillac CTS in a ditch near the intersection of Cleveland Street and 80th Avenue. Investigators found she’d been westbound on Cleveland, just before 2:30 p.m., and lost control the of the vehicle, crossing the center line and slid toward a ditch, which caused the CTS to flip onto its roof.
The driver was extricated by public safety responders and went by LIFE EMS to Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids with what police called non-life threatening injuries.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Vandenbosch indicated alcohol and speeding are believed to be factors in this crash.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Polkton Fire, Coopersville Fire and Life EMS.
