HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A teenaged boy died overnight and a girl was critically injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday, July 21, 2019, according to Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies.
It happened just before 2 a.m., when police were called to the scene at 118th Avenue near 37th Street in Valley Township, where they found the motorcycle, which had two aboard.
The motorcycle failed to stop at the dead end portion of 118th Avenue, just west of 37th, tumbling down a steep embankment into the wooded area, hitting several trees before stopping about 30 feet off the road, police said.
The deceased teen, police said, was driving the motorcyle when the crash happened. His passenger was taken by LIFE EMS to a nearby hospital.
The crash remains under investigation, and no names are being released at this time. Hamilton firefighters assisted at the scene.
