HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – There is a new learning tool now available in the educational toolbox at Herrick District Library.
During an open house on Monday evening, the library unveiled Groundworks, a digital leaning space in the lower level of the main River Avenue building for patrons to explore photography, web design, print design, podcasting and several other topics. A total of 13 digital knowledge beginners classes start next month, with a 12-student limit that library officials say will ensure that each pupil receives the most out of the instruction. Class times will vary monthly to accommodate most every schedule.
In addition, there will be open hours available for those who wish to reserve time and equipment to work on their own projects. A three-year, 75 thousand-dollar grant from the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area provided the seed money for the initiative.
