HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids has issued a beach hazards advisory through Friday evening for Ottawa, Muskegon, Mason and Oceana counties.
With storms brewing, people can expect 15 to 30 mph winds on Thursday, shifting to west-northwest overnight.
Winds will create high wave action resulting in life-threatening swimming conditions.
Conditions will be most dangerous along Lake Michigan’s shoreline from Holland to Manistee — including Holland, Grand Haven, and Pere Marquette state parks, where waves could reach 4 to 7 feet.
