HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Halloween is today (Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018). Not every community sets official trick or treat hours. But the City of Holland and City of Fennville have, from 6-8 p.m.
The City of Zeeland will host a downtown trick-or-treat event from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
For safety’s sake, consider following these tips:
- Wear a light colored costume with a mask that will not obscure your vision.
- Use a flashlight while walking through neighborhoods.
- Young children should be with an adult guardian.
- Only trick-or-treat at houses with porch lights on.
- Consider going to familiar houses.
- Parents should check all of a child’s treats to ensure they are safe.
Special note for drivers: Slow down Wednesday evening and keep a special eye out for children who may, in their excitement, rush across streets.
