ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 21-year-old man has been formally charged in the July traffic deaths of a newlywed couple from Holland near Hamilton.
Jacob Scot Damron was arraigned on Tuesday in Allegan District Court on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing death, one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury, one count of reckless driving causing serious injury, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. All of the charges stem from a three-vehicle pileup on M-40 at 128th Avenue on July 17th that took the lives of 24-yar-old Logan Thunderland Allbaugh and 22-year-old Hannah Mae Kwekel, who had been married only two weeks previously, and the injuring of Duane McDonald.
No other fresh details surrounding the investigation and subsequent arrest of Damron were immediately disclosed by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department.
