HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An investigation is underway into what led to the shooting death of a 29-year-old Holland area man at a residence in a North Side subdivision last night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Jake Sparks, deputies and first responders were dispatched around 9:30 PM to a house in the one thousand block of Campanel Drive, north of James Street and east of 112th Avenue, on a report that “a subject had a gunshot wound to the head. Initial investigation shows that the victim had been in possession of a firearm at the time of the incident and a shot was fired.”
No other description of the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the name of the victim, was disclosed, pending the completion of an autopsy. Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
