HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The 81st annual Veterans Day Observance at Holland High School is set for 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018.
The even will feature remarks by Holland High Principal Katie Pennington; aophomore Justin Wolters salute to the flag; Assistant Principal Josh Rumpsa’s introduction of Fred Johnson III, a U.S. Marine veteran and Hope College professor; senior Sunny Kun’s Tradition; teacher Zachary Kapla’s fallen soldier memorial; teacher Carl VanFaasen’s roll call of honor, senior Marlen Barrios’ tribute to veterans and concluding remarks by Assistant Principal Andrea Mehall.
Music will be provided by the Holland High wind ensemble, directed by Bethany Van Oss; Vocal Dimensions performing “Calling My Chldren Home,” the Holland High choir’s rendition of “Homeland,” and Taps by Suny Kun and Alberto Castillo.
The Holland Police Honor Guard will present and retire the colors.
