HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Trans-Matic Manufacturing Inc., a global leader in the deep draw metal-stamping industry, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Monday, June 18, 2018, with community and employee events. Among those present: President/COO P.J. Thompson, son of company founder Patrick Thompson; Michigan Economic Development Corp. CEO, Jeff Mason’ U.S. Rep. Fred Upton; Holland Mayor Nancy DeBoer. Patrick Thompson founded Trans-Matic in 1968, with two production moachines. He went on to create what is now a global tool-making corporation. Trans-Matic’s world headquarters is at 300 E. 48th St. in Holland, but the company also has facilities in Mesa, AZ; Monterrey, Mexico; and Suzhou, China.
