ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A little sacrifice in the cold on Saturday will go a long way.
That’s the sentiment behind the annual Walk for Warmth that kicks off at 8:30 AM at the City on a Hill Ministries campus off of Pine Street in Zeeland. Participants will walk along a well-marked, two-mile route around downtown Zeeland to raise money for the Ottawa County Community Action Agency to help those struggling with financial self-sufficiency with housing and food. Among the incentives for those participating is a matching challenge for Consumers Energy employees on a two dollars by the Jackson-based utility for every dollar raised by the staffer.
