OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — Minutes before 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 a masked gunman enters the Cash Store, 7507 Cottonwood Drive in Jenison, flashing a handgun at the only people present, two employees, and demanding cash.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Christie Wendt said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Like three other armed robberies, including one on Dec. 4 at the Check ‘N Go in Holland, sunglasses and a mask obscured the thief’s face, who witnesses described as a white male, 5-6 to 5-8, wearing a blue University of Michigan hoodie and weighing 150 to 175 pounds.
The suspect fled in a smaller, older-model light-colored SUV, heading northbound on Cottonwood Drive.
No one was injured, Wendt said.
