OTTAWA COUNTY (WHTC-AM/FM) — A three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Jamestown Township sent Hudsonville resident Christina Licari, 21, to Holland Hospital with minor injuries, according to Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Brian Buter.
It happened near the intersection of 48th Avenue and Greenly Street, Buter said, when Licari’s 199 Chevy pickup slid out of control on the icy road while heading north.
The slide sent the truck into the southbound lanes, where it was struck by two other vehicles: 19 a 2002 Chrysler Sebring with 19-year-old Hudsonville resident Allison Dennis at the wheel and a 2006 Saab being driven by 36-year-old Hudsonville resident Benjamin Weaver.
Both of the northbound vehicles struck the Chevy’s driver’s side door, Buter said. Licari was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of her injuries, Buter said, but also cited for violating speed rules. The road was closed for more than an hour as emergency responders handled the crash, he said.
Neither Dennis nor Weaver were hurt in the crash, he said.
