HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Zeeland is the keynote speaker for West Coast Chamber’s annual legislative breakfast, set for set for 7:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at Evergreen Commons, 480 State St., in Holland.
He’ll answer questions from attendees after giving legislative update.
Huizenga represents Michigan’s 2nd Congressional District, which stretches from Kentwood and along the Lake Michigan shoreline, from Holland to Ludington. First elected to Congress in 2010, Huizenga won a narrow victory over Democratic challenger Dr. Rob Davidson in November.
Huizenga sits on the U.S. House of Representatives’ financial services committee. In 2019, he’s secheduled to be on two financial services subcommittees, for capital markets, securities, and investment, and monetary policy and trade.
Huizenga is a Zeeland native, an alum of both Holland Christian and Calvin College. He and is wife, Natalie, live in Zeeland and are parents of five children.
