UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – Eddie Rosario’s solo home run off of Alex Wilson in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie and gave Minnesota a 5-4 decision over the visiting Tigers yesterday. While the Twins await the arrival of the White Sox to play a make-up contest at Target Field in Minneapolis tonight, Detroit returns home to entertain the Cubs at Comerica Park tomorrow evening, with broadcast time at 6:45 PM on 99 7 and 1450 WHTC.
Chicago comes to the Motor City off of a 2-1 loss at Pittsburgh yesterday, as Adam Frazier’s solo homer off of Brandon Kinzler in the bottom of the 11th inning allowed the Pirates to raise the Jolly Roger at PNC Park.
Chicago’s other team heads to the Twin Cities off of a 7-6 decision over visiting Kansas City at Guaranteed Rate Field yesterday. Todd Isaacs’ 10th-inning single plated the winning run as Lake County spotted visiting West Michigan a 4-0 advantage and overcame that to win in suburban Cleveland last night, 5-4. The Whitecaps look to avoid being swept out of Classic Park in Eastlake by the Captains in the finale of the three-game series this evening, with Dan Hasty’s broadcast beginning at 6:50 PM on 99 7 and 1450 WHTC.
