REDFORD TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A finalist when Holland was searching for a new City Manager this winter has been involved in a serious crash.
According to a statement by the Redford Township Police Department, Township Supervisor Tracey Schultz Kobylarz was critically injured on Tuesday evening when her pickup truck lost control and struck a couple of utility poles, shearing one of them in half. She was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. The incident off of Five Mile Road near Fox around 7:30 PM came shortly after Kobylarz had left a township board meeting.
Currently in her third four-year term as supervisor, Kobylarz applied for the top operational leadership post in Holland when it was posted last year, emerging as one of three finalists before Keith Van Beek was chosen by the Holland City Council.
