UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – The first basemen for Chicago’s two major league baseball teams each had a homer and three RBI yesterday afternoon.
At Comerica Park in Detroit, Jose Abreu led the visiting White Sox to a 6-5 victory over the Tigers, while at Wrigley Field, it was Anthony Rizzo who sparked the Cubs’ 8-4 triumph over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers.
Tonight, while the White Sox are idle before hosting the Kansas City Royals at Guaranteed Rate Field tomorrow evening, Detroit opens a four-game series in Minneapolis versus the Minnesota Twins, with coverage at Target Field from Dan Dickerson and Jim Price starting at 7:45 PM on 99 7 and 1450 WHTC, and the Cubs are in Pittsburgh for the first of four contests against the Pirates at PNC Park.
