HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A two-vehicle crash injured two people Tuesday evening in Jamestown Twp., according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jay Douglas.
“Deborah Guinn, driving a 2012 Ford Escape, was eastbound on Perry Street when she failed to yield, and pulled into the intersection, striking a vehicle,” Douglas said.
Zachery Quartel, 23, of Dorr, was driving south on Eighth Street in a 2001 Chevyy pick-up, which Guinn’s Escape hit. He was not hurt.
Guinn, a 69-year-old Grand Rapids resident, was driving with a juvenile passenger from Cutlerville in the front seat, Douglas said. Both were wearing seatbelts and suffered minor injuries. That were taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released.
No alcohol was involved, Douglas said, but Guinn was cited for failure to yield.
Jamestown Township firefighters and AMR Ambulance aided Ottawa County Sheriff’s road patrol officers at the scene, Douglas said.
