HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The 80th Veterans Day Assembly at Holland High Dutch Dome not only honors veterans, but is used as a teaching tool for students.
The public is invited to the ceremony on Friday, November 9, which runs from 10:15-11:15 a.m. and military veterans along with their family and friends are encouraged to attend. Parking is reserved for Veterans and guests in front of Holland High and additional parking is across the street at our tennis facility. They will also be runnign golf carts back and forth if anyone needs special assistance. Refreshments will be available for Veterans in the cafeteria starting at 9:00 a.m.
Dr. Brian Davis is Superintendent of Holland Public Schools and is pleased that more and more Veterans attend every year.
“It’s just a great way that our student body comes together and our staff to honor the individuals who served our country who have since passed from Holland High School. We actually read through all the names, through all the various wars, but also to honor our service members who are still with us today living in our community.”
The speaker is Sergeant Miller of the United States Army. There will be musical performances by Holland High School Choir, Wind Ensemble and Vocal Dimensions.
