OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC, Oct. 29, 2026) – As the early voting period nears its Sunday end across Michigan, the number of those wishing to get their balloting done ahead of Tuesday’s General Election continues to grow.
In numbers posted by Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck on Wednesday, 67 percent of absentee ballots have been returned thus far, with over 11,000 going to their local clerk offices thus far at the midway point of the nine-day early voting window.
Roebuck admitted that benchmarks can’t be made until the next cycle in 2028 and 2030, as the 2024 and 2026 elections are the first under Michigan’s new regulations involving absentee and early voting.
