ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 8, 2026) – The search for a new city manager in Zeeland gets into high gear this week.
Assistant city manager Kevin Plockmeyer has assumed the operational leadership duties on an interim basis following the death in July of long-time manager Tim Klunder, and last month, the opening was officially posted by the city. A number of resumes have already come into City Hall, and on Thursday, Mayor Rick Van Dorp will meet with officials from HR Solutions in Zeeland to go over those resumes and discuss the next steps in the process.
Van Dorp added that a search committee of municipal and civic leaders will meet to continue the candidate search, with the hope of having a new city manager in place by the first of the year.
