HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Department of Public Safety officials announced Reserve Sgt. Dan Lubbers as the Reserve Officer of the Year.
HDPS Chief Matt Messer made the announcement during a reserve-unit virtual meeting this week.
Reserve Sgt. Lubbers was nominated by his peers, who said he “has a great can-do attitude and is willing to do whatever it takes to help others” as well as being “will always step up when asked to perform extra duties.”
HDPS noted he’s well-respected not only among fellow reservists, but by the entire department.
Sgt. Lubbers joined HDPS in 2007. The Holland High School alumnus is self-employed and lives in Holland with his wife and their three children.
The Holland Department of Public Safety officials expressed gratitude for the dedication Sgt. Lubbers demonstrates and commended him for receiving the award.
