HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 18, 2026) – A tradition 18 years strong returns to Holland this weekend.
The 17th annual Van Raalte Farm Civil War Muster is set for Saturday and Sunday at the site established by the founder of Holland, the Reverend Albertus Van Raalte, and eventually converted into a municipal park (1076 E. 16th St.). Besides the reenactment of the 1861 First Battle of Bull Run, there will be a mobile tribute to this nation’s 250th anniversary, according to one of the event’s organizers, Rick Veenhoven.
There will be historical interpreters portraying historical American figures from both the Revolutionary War and Civil War eras, along with authentic encampment interactive displays, and refreshments for purchase from an authentic military tavern.
