Stephen Ray Faucher, age 78, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Known as “Smokey” to his friends, Stephen was a true country-western enthusiast who loved his cowboy hats, belts, and boots. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be remembered as a helper with a generous heart, always willing to lend a hand to others.
Stephen proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. During his military service, he held top-secret clearance while working with administrative orders and also spent six months serving in combat.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his younger brother, Peter J. Faucher of Trussville, Alabama.
He is survived by his youngest brother, Richard Kirby Faucher of Holland, Michigan; his nephews, Jonathan, Josiah, Richard Ethan, Ben, and Philip; and his niece, Carrie.
A private family memorial will take place.
Stephen will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan.
